House of Many Visions

This was the third renovation of this beautiful, contemporary home, originally designed in the 1970’s by Eaton Tarbell and then remodeled with an addition in the 1990’s by James Schildroth. By 2008, the terrific family, who had owned the property for over 60 years, had outgrown it, and we were charged with helping to create a space that was consistent with the original style, took full advantage of the amazing site, and was friendly to the children, adults and elders alike. We kept the colors muted and the accessories airy and fluid to allow the site to be the star. The furnishings are loungey, but still firm enough to easily get in and out of, so everyone is comfortable. One decade or ten, home is where the family is.
